DWC Hosts Regional Workplace Safety Seminar on August 8 in Austin
The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) offers a Regional Safety Seminar on August 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation, 7551 Metro Center Drive in Austin. The seminar provides employers and employees affordable training on common causes of preventable workplace injuries and fatalities and current and upcoming regulations in the occupational safety and health fields.

State files lawsuit against Aliera Healthcare
The State of Texas has filed a lawsuit seeking to stop Aliera Healthcare from selling health insurance in Texas and engaging in the business of insurance without a state license. The lawsuit also seeks civil penalties. After filing the lawsuit June 13 in the 53rd Civil District Court in Travis County (Cause Number D-1-GN-19-003388), TDI dismissed the administrative action pending with the State Office of Administrative Hearings.
